You know - the kind of feeling when you turn on the lights first thing in the morning and you want to cringe and hide. I think sometimes I forget that if you sit in that light for a while you get comfortable. How often when God shines His light on you do you recoil and not stay in the light? Sure... it hurts at first, it's so bright. But. God calls us to dwell in that spot, to find comfort in the light. I think sometimes when we come to Jesus with our stuff, our darkness, and He first shines that light on us it can hurt. It's easy to try to hide. To run away from the truth. Because it can hurt. But. If you sit in that light you find that it gets easier. That your darkness isn't dark anymore.

My God - that is who You are. You are the light in the darkness. May I remember to stay with you in the light.
