**Disclaimer: this is not a desperate cry for help. I'm not currently battling mental illness/depression. But, in full honesty, it is a part of my story, that I am working hard to not find shame in, but to be honest about, and hopefully help others find joy, hope and peace.**

In the middle of my darkest nights, I find myself in a place of wondering if anyone is actually better because I'm here. Do people really want me to be in their life? Could God even want me? When I'm surrounded by my shame, feeling completely unworthy, discarded, worthless... Where is God then? And do I really want to know the answer - because probably He is far far away. Because certainly He doesn't want to have anything to do with me, and can't be near me.

But hear the truth:
No matter your circumstance

No matter who has told you that you are unlovable - in words or in actions

You are wanted

We are defined by what He sees, not by what the world sees, not by our own misguided or misdirected visions of ourselves.

Your reflection that you see - it is Him. He made you. And He wants you.
